Chapter Text

His stepfather had never been very kind.

Especially when he was drunk. Always throwing his beer bottles and yelling while flames sprouted from his mouth. Izuku had been on the receiving end of those flames more times than he could count. His back to upper arms were a testament to that. His skin always pulled just a bit tighter when he moved. It was hard to fight when the melted skin did.

He wanted to find his birth father. Hopefully the man could take him away to a better life in America.

So, Izuku hacked into his own birth records.

He didn't know if his stepfather would let him live past his eighteenth birthday in a few months. His mother had left everything to him instead of Hisashi. The man had no claim to any of her things and her will had stated that he was not allowed to even hold the key to her storage unit or know where it was. Izuku, however, had inherited everything and was to be given the keys to her lock box at the bank and her storage unit downtown when he turned eighteen.

Izuku had been looking for his father's name in the records and found himself blinking to see if the name on the screen was right.

Bruce Wayne was listed as his biological father.

One of the richest men in America.

He decided to do some research.

.

.

.

After a few days researching his biological father, he found that the man had adopted four boys and had a biological son by the name of Damian who went to Gotham Highschool.

The other boys' names were, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Duke Thomas, and Tim Drake. The oldest, Dick Grayson was working for the police department as a detective. Jason Todd was in a smaller part of Gotham known as Crime Alley. He had become the Crime Lord there. Mostly working on keeping drugs and weapons off the streets and taking care of the kids there.

Duke Thomas was a senior and Tim Drake was a sophomore in high school, still planning out his career path. And Izuku's younger half-brother was a freshman in the same high school. The youngest was probably going to inherit their father's company or start one of his own.

He also found that wherever their father went, the vigilante known as Batman wasn't far behind.

After a deep dive into Gotham City's camera system, he had found a video from years ago of Batman getting hurt and one of Bruce Wayne's cars picking him up only a few minutes later. Bruce's butler, Alfred, had dragged the dark vigilante into the car and sped off. Izuku followed them on the cameras, making sure to copy the video and the route to a hard drive before scrubbing the camera feed after Alfred had driven into a secret tunnel that was hidden behind a fake dumpster and wall.

His biological father was Batman.

That meant that his brothers were all Robin at one point.

The first robin had been Dick Grayson, the first boy his father had adopted. Now he was a vigilante called Nightwing.

Jason Todd had been the second Robin, but he had died and was apparently brought back with more anger and violence before becoming the Red Hood.

Duke Thomas had started a civilian vigilante youth group known as We Are Robin after Batman disappeared for a while. Bruce had adopted him when Batman came back. Then Duke became a Metahuman. Something America called someone with powers that wasn't a quirk. He had powers that had to do something with light and shadows. He became a vigilante that went by the name The Signal. Rather than patrol at night, he was a daytime vigilante.

Tim Drake was called Red Robin. Izuku found out that his adoptive brother was in a relationship with a boy named Bernard Dowd. The spider themed vigilante could see the boy stepping away as robin in the future. With how close Tim and Bernard were, Izuku could tell that he was getting closer to quitting being Robin so he could further his relationship with the boy.

Izuku was happy for him.

Damian was the last and final Robin. Starting out, he was also the most violent and unforgiving. Gradually he began to soften. The one who had gotten through to him most however was a boy named Jonathan Kent.

After doing a deep dive on the Kent boy, Izuku found that he was the son of Superman.

Izuku let out a heavy sigh before sending a virus to infect all of America's security cameras. The virus was only to scrub footage of America's more famous vigilantes and heroes. He had also registered all of the sidekicks and younger heroes/vigilantes into the program so that if any of them were caught on camera, no they weren't.

He also put himself into the program as well.

After a few grueling hours making the virus, he named it 'Code Green'.

The next night he snuck into a hospital and took an unwrapped syringe and a test tube before leaving to draw his blood.

He wanted to send the sample to his father for him to test himself. He knew that the man might not believe him if he just sent him a letter saying that he was the man's biological eldest son.

He also put his own little tracker inside the lining of the temperature-controlled box to ensure it ended up in the Wayne's hands. He sent it off in the mail the next morning. Over the next few days, he watched the tracker closely until it arrived at the gates of Wayne Manor.

He was nervous and excited as he hacked into Batman's monitors. With his skillset it was almost too easy. He was a bit disappointed in his father's security system.

Izuku accessed the camera, audio, and microphone in the monitors before linking them with his own laptop.

Before doing anything else he got up from his desk and shoved his dresser in front of his bedroom door and then went back over to sit at his desk.

He waited until the entire family was in the cave and he could see his box in Alfred's hands before sending them his own live video feed and opening it so that he appeared on screen. He watched as the Vigilante crew became immediately suspicious and their eyes widened before squinting at him.

He took a breath.

"Hello, my name is Izuku Midoriya. I know you have questions. I'm going to answer them." he spoke nervously. He hoped his English sounded okay.

"I'm seventeen years old. My mother died last year, and my stepfather isn't a good man. I'm reaching out to you because my mother had you listed in my birth records as my biological father. That box that Alfred has in his hands has a sample of my blood for you to compare to your own, Bruce. But I need to tell you that you're going to find something else within my DNA." he began quietly.

Bruce's eyes squinted even more as he looked at the box and then back to him.

Izuku took another breath.

"When I was fourteen, I was bitten by a radioactive spider and I gained it's abilities. For the last three and a half years I've been the vigilante known as Kumo in Japan. I'm telling you this because I'm not sure if I'll live past my eighteenth birthday. My mother left me to inherit everything of hers and my stepfather was left nothing. He's a very vindictive drunk. His quirk is called Fire-Breathing. It's exactly like how it sounds. I've been on the receiving end of it too many times to count..." he explained softly. His right hand coming up to rest on his left shoulder.

"I have a feeling that when I least expect it, Hisashi will try to kill me so that he can try to take my inheritance. I've tried to get help from the Heroes and Police here in the past. But when someone is born quirkless or powerless in this country, we're treated as less than human. No one believes us when we try to get help for anything. I'm not expecting you to come save me. I'm not expecting you to recognize me as another son. I just need someone to hear my story and believe me. If you decide to test the blood sample, that's fine. If you decide not to, that's okay too. The choice is ultimately up to you. There's a tracker attached to the lining of the box I sent the sample in. It's two-way tracking. I put it in the box so that I could contact you when it got there." he finished.

His back ached. It was probably going to rain soon.

"How do we know you're telling the truth? How do we know the sample isn't a biological weapon?" The youngest had stepped forward to ask. His arms crossing his chest and a look of suspicion in his eyes.

Izuku smiled tiredly.

"There's only one way to find out, Damian." He answered.

Suddenly there was pounding on his door.

"YOU BRAT, OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW OR I'LL BURN IT DOWN!" Hisashi screamed. His words were slurring; he was definitely drunk. Izuku flinched at his loud voice before turning back to his laptop.

"Whatever you do, the choice is yours." he whispered with a small nervous grin that he used to try to hide how terrified he was.

He shut his laptop and hid it before getting up and pushing his dresser away from the door. He knew that Hisashi would make good on his word of burning the door down, and Izuku didn't quite feel like burning alive in his room.

He could only hope that his father would come save him before Hisashi killed him.
