Work Text:
George dragged himself into his room after a LONG, long day. Why did Ringo just HAVE to be busy this morning? All four of them were gonna hang out, but Ringo was busy with something and insisted they hang without him. Of course George felt bad for leaving Ringo out, but if John and Paul did too, they sure didn't show it.
He debated calling Ringo and asking if he was still busy. After all, it was nearly 5PM; maybe he was done with whatever he was doing. George didn't wanna annoy him, but he missed him. So what if he saw him, like, four days ago and called him three out of the four days? He was allowed to miss his boyfriend anytime he wanted. And after a good 2 more minutes of debating, he decided to call Ringo.
George really hoped he wasn't bothering Ringo with this, "Hey Ringo, are you still busy?"
"Not anymore, why?"
"I was hoping that I could come over, I haven't been having the best day."
"Of course you can!"
George sighed in relief, "Thanks Ritchie. I'll be over in a few minutes, I love you."
"I love you too Georgie."
Right as George hung up the phone, he raced outside to his car and probably almost got pulled over for speeding. He just wanted to see and talk to Ringo. As soon as George pulled up in Ringo's driveway he already felt his day getting better. When George knocked, Ringo immediately answered, as if he was waiting by the door after their call ended.
Ringo smiled, "Georgie! Come on in, ya wanna sit on the couch?"
"Anything sounds good when I'm with you."
"Aw George, you sap!"
"I mean it!"
Ringo let George in and they sat on the couch. Well, Ringo was sitting, George was lying down with his head in Ringo's lap.
Ringo ran his fingers through George's hair "You said on the phone that you weren't havin' the best day, do you wanna tell me what happened? You don't have to, I'm just wonderin'."
George sighed in frustration, "Well: when me, Paul, and John were hanging out, they barely paid attention to me. I'm not saying they had to, but they didn't even acknowledge me. The only times they did was to make fun of me or to call me a baby or something. I get that I'm the youngest of the group, but I'm an adult too."
"Ah, I'm sorry Georgie. I wish I could've been there, I would've chinned 'em for you."
George laughed, "It was just light teasing, but it was still annoying."
George sat up and scooted to sit on Ringo's lap, he wrapped his arms around Ringo and rested his head on his shoulder.
"Still, sometimes little teasin' can be very annoying." Ringo said softly.
Ringo cupped George's face and kissed his forehead.
"Well now you're treatin' me like a baby!" George said sarcastically.
"Do ya want me to stop?"
"..Nah."
Ringo chuckled and peppered kisses all over George's face, then gave him a little peck on the lips. All they did for the next few minutes was stare into each other's eyes and smile, they both thought the other was the most beautiful man they'd ever seen.
George took a deep breath, "God, Ritchie. How do you do it? You fixed my whole day and I've not been here for 20 minutes!"
Ringo just smiled wider, "I just love you so much Georgie."
George hugged Ringo a little tighter and rested his head in the crook of his neck.
"I love you so much too Ritchie."
