Summary
Four years after Montgomery Adamson’s death, Dennis Whitaker arrives at The Pitt for the final rotation of medical school carrying far more history than anyone on the floor realizes.
To most of them, he is simply an unusually capable MS4. They do not know he is Adamson’s adopted son. They do not know he has spent years working as an RN, CEN, SANE nurse, and VA charge nurse. They do not know how many of the people around him already know pieces of the truth—or how carefully Dennis has kept those pieces separate.
