    The music is faint, barely audible from behind the closed door. 

    Which makes no sense, because it was deafening out in the hallway: pounding bass so loud it rattled her bones, the wailing electric guitars and frantic drums working her up into a frenzy, bringing down her guard. Making her forget that this end-of-finals party was open-invite, and that meant she had to stay vigilant.

    Because now she is here. Condemned to this unfamiliar bedroom by the spinning of an empty vodka bottle.
