Summary
After an attack on Arthur’s patrol where he is badly injured, the King of Camelot runs into the last person he ever wanted to see again: his former servant and the sorcerer who released the Great Dragon onto Camelot. Arthur is not pleased to see Merlin and the feeling is mutual. But with Morgana’s war raging on the edges of Camelot, Arthur finds that he is painfully ignorant of what is happening in his kingdom. Despite their distrust of each other, Merlin offers Arthur an opportunity: an information network led by the elusive Lord of the Druids.
Now working as allies, Arthur struggles to trust the man he once called friend, made only more difficult by the fact that Merlin’s eyes never stop glowing gold, his magic always on full display. Every time Arthur sees the eyes of his former lover, he must grapple with what Merlin has become.
