Looping the Skeld

Summary:

I asked myself the very nice question-what if MIRA HQ somehow trapped the Skeld’s crew to constantly go through hell over and over again but with different people as imposters so no one can trust anyone 🤔 so I wrote it. Huzzah.

Notes:

Ok, the beginning of this fic is going to be short, but the rest of the chapters will be LONG. Uh. I’m not looking forward to it as for I love to procrastinate.
(Also did you catch my reference in the title 👀👀👀👀👀👀)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Chapter one.
What the hell was that?

(This chapter will be short, but this fic will get MUCH longer after this ok ok)

Red and Purple did it. They had killed the final imposter, freeing themselves from this torture of watching everyone die. They sat outside of the storage room, on which the hole to it was now opened by Red and Purple.
Everything was normal, the two slowly fixing their relationship, before a blaring alarm sounded. Red and Purple winced, Purple looking around wildly. They tried to speak, reaching out to Red, only for things to fade slightly. Red was clipping in and out. Purple was clipping in and out.

Both of their voices broke off before a single word was uttered.

“ Evaluation complete! All anomalies demolished. Starting over with randomizing effect…”

Everything was weird, everyone’s bodies shoved back in the Skeld, ghosts forced inside their dead corpses that fixed their own wounds (somehow?)

“ System rest complete. Have fun!”

…. . .-.. .—.

White and Green were back. In their seats, waiting to board the Skeld as if nothing happened. As if Green hadn’t been taken over by an alien imposter and killed everyone, White being the first victim.

“.. What?”
