When The Lights Are Dimmed And It’s Just Us…

Summary:

Thomas and James share a soft, intimate moment in bed.

Notes:

I’m just in a very “Mindless fluff” sort of mood recently, idk.

Work Text:

It was quiet in Thomas’s apartment. Quiet in the way that made everything feel safe.

The lights were dimmed in the bedroom, the curtains drawn shut, the only light in the room being the moonlight that escaped the curtains’ grasp and spilled out across the floorboards.

Thomas held James loosely in his arms, while James rested his head against his lover’s chest and let his fingers curl against his back.

Thomas pulled back to look at James with a soft smile on his face. He gently cupped James’s cheeks in his hands, stroking his skin with his thumbs.

He loved James so, so much. He had never met anyone quite as beautiful as him, nor had he met anyone as kind and smart as him. He would always treasure the fact that he got to know and love James like this…

James looked up at Thomas with a slightly sleepy expression. A smile of his own formed when he saw the loving look on Thomas’s face, and he leaned into his touch.

His hands drifted up to Thomas’s curls, and he felt a sense of contentment as the soft hair slipped between his fingers. He pressed his forehead to Thomas’s and sighed softly.

He loved Thomas more than anything. He loved his beautiful, caring, confident, wonderful boyfriend with all his heart. He felt lucky that Thomas loved him as much as James loved him….

Thomas pressed his forehead back against James’s without hesitation. Before they knew it, their lips met, and they shared a soft, passionate kiss. The darkness and the sheets served as a sanctuary, a place just for them, where they could feel this intimacy and safety with one another.

Once they separated, Thomas gave James a small, loving grin. “I love you, darlin’.” he practically whispered. “I love you too, dear…” James said softly, nuzzling against Thomas.

They snuggled close again, and soon enough, they were fast asleep, content and comfortable in each other’s arms.
