   Summary

   Alternate Universe - No atrophage: Grace is a middle School teacher at Grover Cleveland Middle. Simon is a house husband and Florist.
   Grace wakes up, gets ready for work, kisses his husband goodbye, and goes to the middle school like any other day. But today was different. Today, there was a code red. And it was not a drill. Grace was not the bravest person, but as his students huddled in the corner of the classroom, he realized he would do anything to keep them safe. And unfortunately, he was given the opportunity.

   Simon wakes up, makes breakfast, and kisses his husband as he leaves for work like any other day. But today was different. Today, Ryland didn’t text during his lunch period. He didn’t text at all. And as he flips through news channels, he sees why. His husband is trapped in the middle school with an active threat. All Simon could do was sit and watch. Watch as those precious students, whom he loved just as much as, if not more than, Grace. Watch as his husband, his entire world, stayed locked in that school.
