Vega grabs your arm as he drags you to a spot to stargaze. It wasn’t the nicest
per say… but you and her were stuck in a death game, so it’s the best you got for
now.
“Hurry up!—” She whispers, tugging on you harder before sitting down on the
carpeted floor.
It was a beat up spot, with water stains and the carpet smelling like mildew. Though it had the whole milky way lighted though, which was a plus, you sat down next to them as they rambled on and on about “Did you know this” and “Did you know that” every five seconds.
Though… on the other hand, they looked ecstatic for once instead of his usual
paranoid self, she sure does love her stargazing…
“Now I really like this spot,” They say, their tone tinted with their usual “did you know this” tone that they usually use when they mention a fact.
You nod along with what facts Vega keeps saying, was it a lot? To some yeah, to you though… It was fine. You usually heard them getting ignored or talked over by Cobyn or Poppy.
Vega likes the galaxy and stargazing, and because of her, you're starting to also like it because of them.
Vega finally goes quiet when she spots a projected shooting star, and she looks
absolutely memorized by it. Her blue eyes reflect the projections, making them shine brighter then they really do.
You notice it and look at them, they looked at peace for once. When they finally notice you staring, they buffer for a moment before turning into a flustered mess.
“Y-YOU DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING!!” They yell, their voice cracking on the last
word, which makes you laugh. Vega blush deepens yet he mutters something
under her breath, a pathetic “shut uppp…” though it wasn’t tinted with his usual
annoyance that’s shown with Cobyn or Poppy.
You two go quiet for a few minutes, before Vega shoots a little closer to you until
your shoulders just barely touch.
They looked pleased, still a bit flustered but they were enjoying this for once…
Vega looked at you before taking his lab coat off and putting it around you, she still looked anxious but she was blushing, toning her cheeks in a gorgeous soft pink.
“This means nothing…” They say annoyed, though their tone doesn’t have any heat to it and instead hints that they actually enjoy your company.
You know Vega doesn’t trust easily, hell, he barely even trusts anything and anybody.
Yet…
with you…
It's a different story.
You two go quiet for a few seconds, the scent of her coat filling your nose and you pull it tighter around yourself. Vega on the other hand was overheating even with his jacket off, though they still stayed closed to you.
They sigh and rest their head on your shoulder, burying their face into the crook of your neck. She lets out a sigh and relaxes for a few moments.
…
Then they immediately pull back at the sound of an announcement.
“Attention all contestants, please make your way to the main stage.” The voice crackled a few times before turning off.
Vega helped you up and she gently took their coat and slid it back on. You watched them gather their stuff and get ready to go.
She turned on heel to go but before he did that, they turned on their heel to look back at you. The two of you made eye contact for a few seconds before Vega kissed you.
It was a quick kiss and gentle kiss, and before you could say anything to them, she ran off.
“YOUWITNESSEDNOTHINGWEWILLNOTBESPEAKINGABOUTTHIS!!” Is all you heard before they ran off to the main stage as a flustered, hot mess.
You just sigh and shake you're head before walking off to the main stage for the first game.
