Summary
Augustine’s eyes flutter open, and despite the bright lights attacking his eyeballs, he can make out two things.
One; there’s a man hovering over him, his hair dirty-blond. Augustine thinks if he would touch his hair, it’d be very soft and fluffy to the touch. His eyes are coffee-brown, and overall the man has nice facial features. He dons a beige work suit, the striped tie hanging downwards as the man is bent over staring at him. His shoes are steel-toe, and he stops kicking the boy as soon as he sees that he’s awake.
Two; he’s not in the gray room he and Winnie were in earlier. Instead, he’s… somewhere. The entire place is blue, ceiling to floor, thinner, lighter-blue lines interrupting every-so-often. Doorways line the walls, and Augustine was 90% sure at least half of them lead to dead ends.
In short, he was stuck in a blue shithole with some guy.

Summary
They frown, hand hovering over the first aid kit. It's the only thing that they think would be all that useful. But they don't get a chance to decide before a noise echoes from the vent, and Vega yelps in surprise. The noise snorts.
Bones unfurls himself from the vent with far more grace than Vega could have, raising himself just above her line of sight. Having to look up to meet his gaze feels familiarly debasing, preemptively ruining her mood for the interaction. He fixes them with an amused look that immediately has them on edge—she's used to being underestimated or undermined, but that's in her work and her social life. Scoffed at for being an astronomer and given those sideways glances when they say something just a bit too loud or too blunt. Being looked at like that here, that familiar derision in a game where being underestimated could easily become death, makes her stomach churn.
“I didn't think someone so uptight would find their way in here with me,” Bones says, eyes observing the room. “Breaking and entering is a crime, you know?”
(vegabones if vega group went to the store vent instead of the bar one. hijinks ensue)
