Chapter Text
Délice glared at the wall, grumbling something incoherent under her breath, swaying her grape juice glass around in a circle, thumping her foot on the ground ever so slightly.
It had only been a week after her and Ongaku’s little… “argument”.
God, she regret everything she said during that. She regret everything she did.
…
No, she didn’t. What was she thinking? She was in the right! Ongaku was just… jealous. It’s a good thing those two no longer are in contact, that they no longer are on speaking terms.
Délice didn’t even miss the piano queen, nor care about her. Why was she reacting so harshly to this?
The candy queen leaned back in her throne, lifting her glass up to her lips and taking a sip.
…
She didn’t even realize how harshly she was gripping it.
Did she really care that much? No, it couldn’t be that.
She didn’t care for Ongaku.
She didn’t care for that woman.
She didn’t.
…
At least that’s what she told herself.
“UGH!” Délice groaned, throwing her glass at the wall, immediately shattering it. “I don’t care for her! I don’t! Stupid brain! Stupid, stupid, stupid!” The queen would cry out, getting up from her throne and punching the nearest wall to her, then punching her head, tugging at her hair. She didn’t want to believe she still cared for Ongaku, she wanted to have moved on already.
She didn’t need her! She didn’t need anyone!
She didn’t need Ongaku’s loving words, her comforting embrace, her compassion, her love, her kisses, her messages… Délice didn’t need any of that!
…
At least that’s what she told herself. That’s what she wanted to believe, what she wanted to be reality.
Délice gripped at her arm, the one with Lophius’s engraving.
…
The queen sat idle for a moment, just a small moment before trying to claw that area of her skin off.
She shrieked and yelped, abrupt pain hitting as her nails dug into the scar, tears pouring out of her eyes as she pushes her nails in deeper.
She then pulled her claws out of her wound, blood dripping down her arm.
…
She missed Ongaku.
