Work Text:
To say he was dependent on Paltrow was… an understatement to say the least. She was quite literally all he had, he would do anything for her. Anything to not be alone with his stupid ideas. Anything to not be left alone with his thoughts. He didn’t like his thoughts. They didn’t like him either. They hated him actually. They were right to. He was just a stupid piggy.
People didn’t curl up and cry under blankets every night. People didn’t go over every single interaction they had until they found every single mistake. People didn’t let themselves get used just to avoid being alone. Only stupid piggies do those things. Stupid piggies like him.
So, yeah, Paltrow was his everything. She seemed to like him. For some reason. He didn’t know why. Why would someone like her, beautiful and perfect, like a stupid piggy? He couldn’t even make himself useful to her. He tried so hard to make himself useful.
He had no idea what he was doing. Why would a stupid piggy know how investment banking works? He really had just stumbled his way into doing it professionally. How he had made any profit was beyond him.
But he tried so hard to be useful, or at least not a nuisance. He just went along with whatever Paltrow wanted, like a good piggy. At least he could do something right, even if it was just following directions. Even if it was just smiling and nodding so his stupid piggy mouth didn’t mess anything up. Even if he didn’t like it or it made him uncomfortable.
It didn’t matter. He was just a stupid piggy. Stupid piggies don’t get a choice. Stupid Piggies do what they’re told. Stupid piggies follow orders so they can’t mess up. So he did what Paltrow asked and was perfectly happy with it.
He didn’t struggle with doing basic tasks if he was explicitly told to do them. He could function without someone else telling him what to do. He wasn’t lying to himself.
