Summary
He and George had gotten back together, properly, a few months prior — they only reason they had even gotten remarried was due to the fact that George was pregnant with Max’s baby; Max couldn’t allow George to have his child outside of marriage. So, even if George had said no they would have ended up married either way, he had no other choice.
Since he had fallen pregnant, George had been stuck at home — Max’s decision, not his own — taking care of the kids, and the house. He seemed so tired lately, whenever Max got home there would be dinner on the table, but George wouldn’t be very responsive. Max felt an inkling of guilt in the pit of his stomach whenever he saw how defeated George looked.
Or, George and Max had been together for years, before they divorced due to Max becoming harsh and abusive. Eventually, coming back together when George accidentally falls pregnant with Max’s child.
Aka, George can never catch a break.
