The schoolyard was empty at the saturday morning. The playground in the distance was also empty. The school was closed for the next two days. At monday morning would it be open again and the classes would start again. Elaine sat at the bench, near the school building. The sun shines at the blue sky with the white and fluffy clouds. The air was fresh, cold even. She wore an pink and white whool jacket, an brown sweater with pusheen the cat print, an blue denim jeans trouser, decorated with silver rivets and zippers. The boots where black. In her lap was her black backpack with the monster high character print. She fixes her long , blonde hair and also the silver necklace with the monster high skull charm on it and the purple lace. She closes the jacket and leans back. Even if she had sleeped enough, she feelt tired, exhausted. In the distance she could spot the prison block, where her Sweetheart and beloved works. As an guard. Unfortualy he had to work today, too. But his shift was short and she would like to pick him up from work. Afterwards they could go to that small Restaurant, where they could eat and drink something, before returning to their home. Elaine opens her backpack and pulls out an small colouring book and some colouring pencils. She opens the book, turns around the pages and starts to colour an pumpkin. Soon was Halloween. Percy Wetmore had promised to go with her to an custume party. She could't wait for it. She had already an perfect outfit. An white dress, that looks like an Wedding dress. Maybe she could be his bride, even if she only pretended to be for one evening. Or maybe she actually get married to him at some day. He would wear his navy blue prison guard uniform, with the black belt, the many pockets and the baton at his hip. He was too proud sometimes to take it out. But maybe she could add some glitter at his uniform or puts some of her cute jewelry into his black and combed back hair or around his neck. Elaine chuckles softly. He would look cute.
While she colouring she thinks of some other Option they had. They could stay at home and celebrating Halloween there. Maybe they could decorate the rooms, watch some Horror and spooky movies and other stuff. Or maybe he would join her to trick and treat. She has already an pumpkin basket. Afterwards she would share her candy with him. She was so lost in her thoughts and colouring that she haven't notice the steps that walks towards her. Seconds later she gasps as two arms wrapped around her from behind. Lips kisses her neck softly. Elaine closes her colouring book, puts the pencils aside and turns around to him. She wrapped her arms around him. His navy blue guard uniform smells like cigarettes, parfume and some tea. "Work's over?," she asks him. He kisses her softly. "Yeah, Baby," he said, before he puts her stuff in her backpack, closes it and swings it over his right shoulder, while he pulls her to her feet. Her hand finds his. Both walks next to each other. Once they reached the Restaurant, he walks inside ,to order an menu for the two of them. He always knew what she likes. And that makes him so special to her. That she doesn't have to explain everything to him. That he knows most things about her. Beside her big age difference they share an passion for baseball and art. At the weekends she plays with him Baseball at the park or in their Garden. Or they would visit an art museeum, talking about the meaning from the paintings. As he returns with their menu , he sets it at the table, before he sat next to her. Elaine looks at the mugs, that was filled with hot tea and her plate with red beans, bacon and some toast, some fruits. She picks up the fork and starts to eat.
