Maggie inhaled a deep breath, “I don’t know what to do with you,” she exhaled, “or without you,” she confessed in a hushed tone.
“Just this.”
She tilted her face to look up at him.
“Just this is enough.”
As if to say —
I have already stolen everything and then some. You have already given more than anyone could ask. The worst part of me is part of you forever, and the best part of me exists because of you. I do not know who I am without you. I know who I was before you, but that was not me. I can only be me with you.
Just this is enough because how dare I push it further.
Just this because there is no turning back.
“Just this?,” Maggie asked in return, clinging to his body tighter than before.
