You think I like getting shit-talked on live television?” His voice had softened around the edges, just the smallest bit. But it was enough for Kaiser to hook on, to sink his teeth in. His body ached for a burst, an outlet.
“I don't care about those shitty small fries or what they think of you. You just need to focus on me.”
Ness scoffed, finally looking up at Kaiser with a fire behind his eyes.
“I told you. I’m not going to just listen to you anymore, Kaiser.” He winced when Kaiser shoved him into the lockers behind, his back hitting the cold metal with a loud bang.
