Chapter Text
It’s late at night, and the winter air is practically blistering Shidou’s skin. It’s the only thing comforting him at the time. Hours after the Blue Lock vs. Japan U-20 game, the bleachers are lifeless, but the beaming field lights remain on. He is still pissed off, thinking about how his team should have won.
“Well, damn. Blue lock gets a Two week break, and I have yet to figure out my plan.”
He mutters to himself, leaning back against the stadium seat.
“I may just sleep right here.”
Wow. There were drink stains on the seat, plus crumbs. Sweat from complete strangers, and just about who knows what else. What low standards does this guy have?
Back at my loving home~
That’s what everyone has, right? Hm. I unfortunately received the low percentage in the life I was born with.
FLASHBACK TO 15 YRS OLD
“Get the hell up, you piece of shit.”
Next ten minutes-
“I love you so fucking much, and I hope you know I’m the only person who would ever have the heart to love you.”
I would go to school late with questionable scars and bruises. The students and teachers would stare at me like I was a freak. Probably because I am.
Finally! One day, I had enough. YADDA YADDA. As soon as I got hit by my alcoholic mom again, I didn’t hold it in and sure did slap the shit out of her. I ran as far away as I could, alright with just a ball in one hand and passion in the other. I reached an abandoned, quiet field. Most people would cry being alone with no home, but I felt freer than ever…
Shidou silently practices his dribbling and then shooting. He scores with a sick as hell bicycle kick.
“No judgment. Not getting told what to do. This is theeee life!”
A few minutes later-
“OH YEAH, THAT’S A GREAT IDEA.”
Guess what? You know I’ve gotta make me some money with my skills, so let’s find some random match and take over.
He strolls through the lively streets of Tokyo. Shidou does find a match. In that first match, too, he gets scouted!
A stranger pulls up beside me after I win a random street match in a breeze.
“Hey! What’s your name?”
“Ryusei Shidou. You better remember it!”
“This may seem like a big question, but, Shidou, would you be willing to join a soccer facility with the vision of forming the world’s best striker?”
Who would have said no to that? My years of loneliness were over. There then, take it back to where I was at the moment.
“Aeuughhhh.”
Shidou yawns as he gets ready to sleep in the stadium’s chair.
“Shidou?”
“Sae?”
“What are you doing here at this time?”
“Uhhh. I’ll be going.”
“Do you have a place to sleep?”
“If I say no, does it mean I get to sleep with you?” He smirks at the thought of it.
“No you horny demon. You will be sleeping in a separate room.”
“Aw man.”
“Do you not want to have a bed tonight?”
“Wait- I’m sorry Sae. Just let me spend the night with you.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
If I could have had any wish granted to me, I’d pass.
I swear, Sae, he was more than enough!
I would have even said he was some sort of angel sent from above to help me, to make me feel like I was actually worth something. Someone that chose me? Someone that took my side whenever I needed backup? Most importantly, someone that gave me the idea of freedom. The freedom I needed to spread my wings and soar my way right to the top.
He was my man...
