"Or interview the avengers!" The southern voice spoke up again.

"No. Absolutely not!"

Chapter 1: Ban the starks

Chapter Text

The screen adjusted a couple times, with peter sitting far too close to the camera for comfort. He seemed to be sitting in a living room, on a red couch that extended beyond the frame.

"Hi!" He finally spoke once he figured out the lighting and angle. "My name is Peter Parker, and I'm an intern at stark industries."

"Don't sell yourself short!" A southern voice yelled out. "Your Stark's own personal intern at stark industries."

The boy rolled his eyes and waved his hand dismissively. A short sigh escaped him as he regained his composure and sat up straighter.

"Hi, my name is Peter Parker. I'm Tony Stark's personal—" The word came out with a hint of exasperation "—intern at stark industries."

"Better!"

"Yeah yeah," the boy shifted nervously. "well anyway, welcome to my channel? I don't… I don't really know what I'm doing, you see. I just thought this would be fun."

"Booo!!" A different voice called out, it sounded much closer than the former. "Com'on! Give us some spice!"

Peter's face instantly flushed. "Shush! It's not my fault a camera was shoved into my face with no script what so ever."

"You can introduce what you're planning to do on here."

"I don't have much of a plan," Peter began slowly. "I'm just going to do whatever, really. I could maybe interview the interns, or show my own work."

"Or interview the avengers!" The southern voice spoke up again.

"No. Absolutely not!"

"What's going on here?" Someone asked, sounding suspiciously like captain America.

The camera fell hard, landing under the table before promptly cutting out.

When the video started rolling again, it was pointed at a young woman who looked both exhausted and amused. She sat calmly on an isolated chair in what looked to be a conference room.

Clearing his throat from behind the camera, Peter spoke up. "So, Leanne. How are you doing today?"

"I'm doing well, Peter." She tilted her head, the amusement clear in her voice.

"Great! Well uh, we brought you in today to—"

"We?"

"I," He corrected himself. "brought you in to ask you about the incident from earlier today."

"Which one?"

"The Harley one. He was conducting an experiment when…" His voice trailed off. "What's that face for?"

"It's nothing. The way you're filming is just.. messy. may I offer some advice?"

"Oh! Yes please."

When the camera turned back on, Peter was the one sitting in Leanne's previous position.

"Okay! So, while in the lab today, there was a massive explosion! See, this intern— Harley— was testing out this new compound, right? Except he miscalculated the amount needed big time, and added way too much. Which ended up in the giant explosion that took out half the testing labs." He moved his hands in a way that would emulate said explosion.

"Thankfully no one was hurt.. we're used to this type of thing, so we have designated testing rooms for safety." A tight smile pulled at his lips. "Either way, it was a big hassle and inconvenience to everyone. Soo… we're going to be interviewing the interns about it!"

The video cut back to Leanne, with her name written in bold at the bottom corner. "Like peter said, the whole thing was a massive inconvenience.. not only did we have to clean it up, but now we also have to wait for it to be fixed before testing anything big."

"We should organize a protest to ban Haley from the labs." A voice quipped, the same one that had boo-ed peter earlier. The words were followed by a gasp of offense and a giggle.

"I think Mr. stark would fire all of us if we dared to go after one of his little Me-s." Leanne shot back.

"True! I ain't goin' nowhere." The southern voice— Harley, apparently —huffed.

Another intern sat in their place now. A boy named Milo according to the caption. "I agree! We should stage an intervention! Harley and Peter both. Half the lab is gone because of them."

"Not true!" Both boys protested at the same time.

"No, no. Let's hear him out."

"Shuri!" Peter whined. "I thought we were friends."

The camera cut over to the labs, where a good portion of the interns held up signs. Each one said something along the lines of 'ban the kiddie starks' Or 'save the labs.' The ones who weren't participating were barley able to hold in their laughter.

"Ban the starks! Ban the starks!" They jokingly chanted in union, some giggles escaping every so often.

Peter crossed his arms. "Stop it! You guys love us and you know it!"

Harley noded in agreement. "We're an absolute joy to have around."

"I'm sorry," An intern with blue hair spoke sympathetically. "But we love our lab more."

"Ban the starks!"

"Ah… you're finally leading a revolution against me I see. I'm being banned from my own company." Tony stark spoke from the doorway, causing everyone to freak out.

Faces paled, Signs were tossed, and chaos broke loose. The room ranged from absolute panic to manic laugher— the latter mostly coming from Harley.

The head intern stepped forward, profusely apologizing as she tried to explain.

"It's fine," Tony waved them off. "I get it. Those two are absolute nightmares. If saving the labs means you have to kick me out too, then I'll readily leave."

"Mr stark!" Peter squawked.

The camera cut back to the conference room, where Milo sat once more. "That was fucking hilarious! You should have seen Anne's face when she saw Mr stark. I think she almost fainted."

"I did." Anne sat In front of the camera, looking absolutely exhausted. "I thought I would be fired, it was terrifying." She shifted, glancing off to the side. "Thankfully, he wasn't mad though."

"Karma.." Harley whispered, causing a glare to be sent towards him.

"I'm not the one who blew up the lab at eight in the morning!" She frowned.

"And it's not my fault Peter distracted me."

"Hey! Don't pull into this."

"Too late. It's all your fault."

"This is why you two should have been banned…" Anne muttered.
