Summary
“You know,” Lucy says, “this isn’t even the first time you’ve been the princess.”
Dazai meets her words with that empty smile of his, like he’s pretending he has no idea what she’s talking about even though he definitely does. “I’m sure I don’t know what you mean, Lucy-chan.”
“The whole Dead Apple thing was totally Snow White,” Lucy argues. “And Meursault was Rapunzel. You’re just collecting fairytales like Infinity Stones at this point. Maybe we can turn you into a frog next!”
dazai and lucy find themselves playing out the tale of cinderella in an effort to restore the armed detective agency. it's all fun and games, until the lines between reality and role start to blur.
(or: cinderella, if both cinderella and the prince were bisexual, trans, and not exactly supposed to be at the ball)
