Chapter Text
You recently got a new job, and to celebrate, Facty brought you to the bar. Facty loved to celebrate events like this for you, agreeing to take you wherever you wanted to go. This time, you asked if you could go to the bar together.
Even though Facty couldn’t drink because one, they had to drive you home—and two, they did not handle alcohol very well at all, they insisted on taking you anyway. When they parked the car, you got out together.
As you got inside and sat down, they spoke. “What’re ya gonna get?” They smiled at you, handing you a menu. You looked it over, colorful and fruity drinks filling the page. From mango to watermelon cocktails, margaritas and whiskey, there were many drinks to choose from.
“I think I might get a margarita,” You say, still thinking about it. “…Hmm, yeah. That sounds good.” You smile back at them.
As the bartender comes over and asks you what you’d like, you politely tell him. When he goes to make it, Facty begins to tell you some facts. “Did you know that cranberries can bounce? Well, fully ripe ones at least. It’s because they have a bit of air in them! Isn’t that cool?” Facty seemed confident and excited to tell you this fact.
“I did not know that, that is pretty cool! I wanna try it now.” You giggled. Just then, the bartender slid you your drink. You thanked him then stirred your drink, bringing the straw to your lips. Facty watched as the straw entered your mouth. Their cheeks began to flush— but they shook it off. That was not very appropriate of them.
You two began to talk about nonsense as you drank your margarita. You started to feel funny after your second glass, which Facty noticed immediately. They had ordered a water a few minutes before. They insisted you took a drink, but you declined every time.
“Haha— you look cute today.” You start to mumble, nothing sounding intelligible. Facty’s blush got a bit brighter. “Uh, I think we should get going.”
“What—? But whyyyyy?” You groaned, grabbing their wrist. They put their other hand on yours, then they slowly started to get up. Just as they did, the bartender came towards you guys. Facty handed him their card, the transaction going through the card reader as he swiped it.
He handed it back, just as you began to get down from the stool. Facty quickly grabbed your arm as you got down, keeping you from wobbling. “Thank you!” They tell the bartender, a worried look on their face. “Okay, you gotta help me out here. Try and take one step.” You try, your legs wobbly.
In response to that, Facty put an arm around your lower back, helping you walk out of the bar. When you reached the parking lot, the cool night air hit your guys’s faces. They walked you to the car, opening the door for you. “Gee, _____, I didn’t know this would happen…” Facty felt guilty, but how can they when they didn’t know it was going to happen? “I like this treatment.” You smiled. “You’re so cute…” You reached to their face.
Their cheeks flushed as your hand brushed their cheek, just before they closed the door and headed to the driver’s side out of embarrassment. They started the car and turned on the heat.
They seemed to care a lot about this situation, checking up on you every few seconds. “Are you cold?” They messed with the heat settings, trying to brush off what you just said.
“A little? I think? I don’t know.” You begin to giggle. They cleared their throat. “—Okay… I’m a bit cold so if you feel warm let me know.” They put the car into drive, pulling out of the parking spot.
As they drove down the quiet backroads, they feel your hand on their thigh, going inward. “Uh—hey, let’s— uh…” They move their right hand onto your left hand, pushing it off as their blush grew pinker. “Not now.” They finished their sentence, flustered. You groan. What did they mean ‘not now?’
Once you guys finally reached their apartment, they carefully pulled you out of the car. “Are you able to walk with me?” You wobbled, almost falling over. “Right…” Facty scooped you up, carrying you to the door of the apartment building. They carried you to the elevator, leaning against the wall and pressing the ‘floor 3’ button.
Once it dinged, they walked with you down the hall as you blathered nonsense. Your hands were wrapped around their neck, your face buried into their chest. They couldn’t reach into their pockets for their keys at the moment, so they had to knock instead.
Lightbulb let you guys inside, silently wondering what the hell was going on. “Uh, sorry it’s so late, bulb. I… can’t reach my keys.”
“It’s alright, do you— need anything?” Lighty excuses them, stepping aside so you guys could come in. “No, thanks. Just some rest.” They walk inside with you still in their arms. Your eyelids started to get heavy, beginning to close. As you guys made it to their room, they carefully lie you down on their bed.
“Next time, you’re only drinking one…” They climbed onto the bed next to you, hugging you and running their hands through your hair. You were barely awake, but their actions made you fall asleep.
