Summary
Rice Shower's Classic Year was supposed to be her moment with two legs of the Triple Crown down and one to go. For the first time in her life, she thought she might actually be someone worth believing in.
Then she lost the Kikuka Sho.
Now she's back to being the jinx girl with too much body and not enough courage. Her trainer is patient. Her best friend Haru is relentless. They haven't given up on her, even now. The harder part is Rice learning to believe she's worth staying for.
Haru has always been good at giving Rice what she needs. What she wants is a different question. But if Rice is ever going to stop hating her body long enough to tell her trainer how she feels, someone has to show her it's worth wanting first.
