Summary
For fifty years, a ghost has haunted Barker’s Lake.
Every year, on the anniversary of her death, seventeen-year-old Margaret Carter appears on the road where she disappeared. The story says she drove into the lake with three friends. The story says her boyfriend, Tommy Briggs, abandoned her.
But stories have a way of changing over time.
When Dean and Sam Winchester arrive in Barker’s Grove to investigate a string of missing boys, they quickly discover that the town’s favorite ghost story may be hiding something much darker. Margaret isn’t the only one who remembers that night—and the truth about what happened in 1956 has been buried for far too long.
As the fiftieth anniversary approaches, Dean finds himself drawn deeper into the past, where the line between the past and present begins to disappear.
