Summary
Marbella and the hills above it. Two families run the coast — vineyards, shipping, construction, "security consulting" — clean on paper, filthy underneath. The Hernández and Torres names have hated and needed each other for three generations. Two years ago the hatred got expensive, so the elders did what old money always does: married it off.
The Hernández Family — old wine money, older cruelty, the softer public face. Pedri's father is the kind of man who kisses your cheek and ruins your life by Tuesday.
The Torres Family — shipping and ports, meaning they control what comes in and out of southern Spain, legally and otherwise. Ferran is the heir and already does the killing his father used to delegate.
