Interview Log ####-##
Interviewed: SCP-1108
Interviewer: Dr. Aha
Dr. Aha: So, what should I call you, young man?
SCP-1108: Oh, does it really matter? I'm a suuubject [mocking tone], isn't that how you treat me?
Dr. Aha: Oh yes, you're definitely a Subject, no doubt about it! But you do have a name, don’t you?
[SCP-1108 clicks its tongue and turns away with visible irritation]
SCP-1108: Call me whatever you like. My name has nothing to do with you.
Dr. Aha: Ho! Well, as you wish. Here at the Foundation, we're great at coming up with clever names for uncooperative Subjects. Hmm... eeny-meeny-miney-mo... one, two, buckle the shoe… bee, a bee, a bumblebee… How about "Sampo"? It suits your properties perfectly, don'tya think?
[SCP-1108 remains silent for seven (7) seconds]
Dr. Aha: Splendid. I’ll write it down.
Note: SCP-1108 refused all communication for three days, after which a forced meeting with Dr. Aha was initiated.
Interview Log ####-##
Interviewed: SCP-1108
Interviewer: Dr. Aha
Dr. Aha: Well then, how are you feeling, Subject?
SCP-1108: I'm just curious — do you treat everyone like this?
Dr. Aha: What do you mean, my dear fellow?
SCP-1108: Your unhealthy obsession with dividing people into, well, people and Subjects.
Dr. Aha: And you don't identify yourself among the latter?
SCP-1108: I am human. I always was, I am, and I always will be. Do you really reduce every exceptional person to the status of Subject?
Dr. Aha: Clarify?
SCP-1108: By your logic, anyone who differs even slightly from the average human being could potentially be a Subject. What about Da Vinci? Tesla? Mozart? They stood out from the gray masses!
Dr. Aha: They're still human. You, on the other hand… there are doubts.
SCP-1108: I'm just like you, like any of your employees!
Dr. Aha: I wouldn't say that. Humans sleep during each daily cycle, not once every three to four days.
SCP-1108: I have sleep problems.
Dr. Aha: The same kind of problems you have with eating?
SCP-1108: What's wrong with that?
Dr. Aha: Humans need three meals a day, preferably balanced, to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
SCP-1108: So what, you think I'm starving?
[Short laughter is heard on the recording]
Dr. Aha: You do eat, of course. But not human food.
SCP-1108: You're mistaken.
Dr. Aha: Am I? This device clearly shows how you're feeding on me right now.
[SCP-1108 remains silent for twelve (12) seconds]
Dr. Aha: You're not human. You never were and never will be. I don't consider you a threat, but we can't simply let you roam free, alas.
SCP-1108: You're wrong...
Dr. Aha: We'll run a few more tests, take some measurements, perhaps three experiments, and...
SCP-1108: That can't be...
Dr. Aha: ...then we’ll be able to determine your class, to Secure, Contain, and Preserve.
SCP-1108: Shut up!
[On the recording, a thud, a short scream, a gunshot, and wheezing are heard]
Note: Due to emotional involvement, Dr. Aha is prohibited from interacting with SCP-1108 to prevent excesses and fatal outcomes. Remote communication with SCP-1108 and continued research are permitted.
Stable observation of SCP-1108 is required. Personnel who are emotionally impartial to SCP-1108 may be admitted to the security team. Before admission, all personnel must undergo psychological evaluation per Protocol 12-1 (cf. Appendix).
