Summary
“I always hoped I’d meet a cute guy in the grocery store.”
Sam can’t help but burst out laughing. James Buchanan Barnes of this universe is flirting with him in such a dorky manner that he just can’t believe this is real.
A heavy flush creeps up to Steve’s face as he joins in on the laughter sheepishly. “What? Was it – Sorry, that was dumb, huh?”
Sam shakes his head, his hand finding the handle of his cart. “No, man, sorry,” he lets out, grinning ear to ear. “It’s not dumb. It was cute."
Steve raises his brows, smiling. “Cute?”
Sam's smile doesn't falter. “Yeah, cute.”
or
Sam falls into Fresh (2022)'s universe and meets Steve Kemp — a man with the same face as his partner and feels a little off (in more ways than one).
