Summary
During his first week working in the mines with his father, an accident occurs, leaving Coen unable to return to work. He never gets the chance to ruin his lungs, but it comes at the cost of his leg and constant, daily pain. Coen thinks it's an appropriate curse, for what he's done to Alin.
The vrakhiri who take an interest in him (and his sweet blood) don't see it that way.
