Summary
Written for the Welcome to Night Vale kink meme, prompt - "I want fic of someone (station management, evil scientists, secret police, you name it) forcibly removing Cecil's third eye. Maybe it's punishment, maybe they need it for something, I don't care. Just give me Cecil curled up and in pain and suddenly minus an eye and Carlos cuddling him and plotting revenge."
When Cecil doesn't turn up for his nightly broadcast, all of Night Vale knows something is wrong. Carlos is more surprised than anyone to know that he apparently called Cecil away for a date, and the radio host hasn't been seen since. Carlos manages to put the pieces together in time to go and rescue Cecil from the scientists who really stole him away, but he doesn't quite make it in time to bring Cecil home unscathed.
Carlos has to struggle with the guilt of wondering if he's even partially responsible for this, while trying to keep himself together enough to help Cecil recover.
