Dysfunctional Girl

Summary:

Clef is going home after a long, tiring day.

Work Text:

Clef walked out of the Walgreen's, Benadryl in hand. Now with all of her chores done, Clef was looking forward to going home and taking a well deserved nap.
The sun had just started to set, shooting out bright orange rays into the skyline, the girl admired its beauty, she felt the cold air on her skin.
It had been a long day, between school and work, Clef was exhausted.
Clef, lost in thought, tripped over something on the sidewalk, sending her face into the pavement.
"WHAT THE HELL!?!" She shouted.
Immediately standing back up, Clef angrily turned around, fists at the ready to find...
The young upcoming youtuber Joe Biden laying down on the sidewalk?
"Watch where you're going young lady." Joe said.
"WHAT THE FUCK DUDE, DO YOU GET OFF BY TRIPPING PEOPLE WITH YOUR BODY OR SOMETHING?" Clef gave the president a swift kick in the ribs.
"No no, I am just, laying down for a bit, I was taking a five minute walk and got a little winded."
Clef face-palmed herself.
"I swear if its not one thing its another." The girl grumbled.
Clef turned away from the man, continuing to walk down the path.
It wasn't a much longer walk to her and Treble's apartment anyway.
Clef slammed the door open, stomping over to the couch and throwing herself upon it. Treble shifted, sitting in a recliner.
"Bad day?" he asked. Clef responded by grumbling and curling into a fetal position.
"Hmm."
"Did you forget anything?" Treble asked, seemingly out of the blue.
"Huh?" Clef perked up a little bit.
"No I don't think so."
"Something... Blue?" Treble asked.
"Oh shit fuck I forgot sorry I was busy I was late and I-"
"Don't worry." Treble cut her off, "I took care of it." His voice a tad deeper now.
The room sat silent for a moment, Clef could hear a clock ticking in the background.
"I'm sorry Treble, its just been hard with everything, and you've had to clean up my mess."
"Its ok Clef, not like anything has changed." Treble responded.
"Its not ok." Clef whispered.
"I'm sorry Treble."
"I said its ok."
"But its not, you know its not, STOP SAYING IT IS!"
