Summary
The wedding band sitting on Light’s finger felt cold against his skin, the metal almost offensive in how it gleamed in the sun as though it was meant to be there. Of course, he technically wasn’t supposed to be wearing it at all, yet, but the box had been lying about, placed carelessly on top of the dresser. He burned with need to take it off, ripping the piece of jewelry off his finger and placing it back into its neat little box.
He didn’t want to do this. He didn’t want this.
•••Light Yagami is getting married. His fiancée is great—she’s kind, doesn’t make a fuss over small things, and tries her best to be a good partner. Light should want to marry her. He would rather die.
