Chapter Text
Tweek Tweak was eighteen years old. He was a skinny, and slight blonde boy with piercing blue eyes. He had small freckles across his cheeks and he usually smelled like coffee. He loved English, art, and music. But he had despised being at high school with every bone in his body.
His parents constantly nit-picking his every action. The asshole peers he was surrounded by. The old teachers who looked like they were five feet deep in their caskets already. And of course, the town's small size was quite troublesome.
So when he got to college, though many deemed it small, it was a refreshing change. The college was one of the basic four years and in Denver. It was a little ways away from his hometown and Tweek had never been happier. It was just far enough that he didn’t have to go home for three day weekends or every single break if he really didn’t want to (and believe him, he didn’t.). Yet it was just close enough that the drive too and fro for larger breaks like winter and summer wasn’t so terrible.
Tweek's first week of physically being at college had been quite the whirlwind. He spent most of his time following winding paths around campus and trying to memorize the steps to his classes. To his excitement they were all in the same general area and he was able to shave off a couple minutes from the estimated walking time.
He also walked around with a stack of his resume and food handlers card, passing them out to every place he could on campus. Venturing off campus to find work seemed utterly unappealing for Tweek. Especially considering the walk to off campus was about twenty minutes in each direction.
The only exception of that was of course Greek Row. Though Tweek had absolutely no interest or reason to be walking around there. He would rather bear the twenty minute uphill walk than pass by a frat house. He didn’t know much about Greek life or the fraternity’s but he knew he wouldn’t fit in at any of them. And more than likely they wouldn’t want him there anyways.
In Tweek’s mind frat guys were the college equivalent of football jocks. He hadn’t heard the best of sorority girls either but he knew one personally, so how bad could they really be? Bebe and Tweek had grown up in the same small town and despite the fact to ye were very different individuals they were very close friends.
She had been cheer captain and was oh so very popular. She dated around and at every dance had at least three guys asking her with extravagant signs. She was semi-famous on all of her social media. Which in itself was perfectly curated and absolutely aesthetic.
All in all, they were polar opposites. But Bebe had been like a lifeline all through high school. Her jock boyfriends were always nice to Tweeks face, out of fear of Bebe, but nonetheless they were kind. The two went everywhere together and did everything together. He had supported her through the most difficult breakup imaginable. She had almost suffocated him in a hug when he came out to her. So, their differences never really mattered anyways.
She had heard about their schools booming Greek life, and more so the parties she could attend. So of course when welcome week came around she donned fabulous outfits and talked with dozens of girls a day. Every night her and Tweek would get dinner and she’d sit and tell him all about what she had done that day. It sounded like a nightmare. But Bebe enjoyed it and he would never judge her.
By the end of the week she ran home to “Alpha Phi” or “APhi” as she put it. Tweek honestly had no idea what any of it was but she seemed happy enough. She’d made many friends and insisted upon introducing Tweek to them. And to his surprise they were all very nice and happy to meet him. Nothing like the judgy mean girls he’d expected.
The only downside of Bebe's decision for Tweek was the fact that she insisted on dragging him to at least one party. He had told her no about a hundred times, but she swore she’d get him.
At the beginning of his second week there, not only did his classes start but a job had gotten back to him. A coffee shop. Because of-fucking-course they did. It made perfect sense he had been a barista all of his life, he was over qualified if anything. So despite his resistance to working at yet another coffee shop he decided that the money was worth it.
Not only was it a coffee shop, but it just happened to be on the very edge of campus. The Greek edge of campus. This small shop had been a last hope sort of thing for Tweek. None of the other businesses were hiring or seemed all that interested in him. He understood that, they’d been filling positions since the summer.
Despite his initial resistance he went in for training that Monday after his classes finished up.
The store was small and brown, though it was cute. It had plenty of baked goods and options for coffee. He’d seen it all before and he was sure he’d learn quickly. And he had. The day was short since it was just training but it had been easy. It was a slow day as well.
The brightest part of his day had been when Bebe bursted in to say hello with her “sisters” as she called them. Tweek found the terms sisters and brothers a little strange. Then there was big and little, and according to Bebe there were Greek families between the sororities and the frats. Again, he had no idea what she was talking about. It seemed unusual to him but he’d never tell her that.
“Ohhh my Tweek!” She shrieked as she skipped up to the counter.
His coworker, who was standing beside him, stifled a laugh. Her name was Rebecca. She had long curly brown hair, and was very mousy and quiet. She was kind though and the two talked softly between customers. Nothing particularly interesting, just school and their hometowns.
“Hi Bebe!” He grinned as she leaned over the counter to plant a kiss on the top of his head.
There were two girls standing behind her, ones he’d recognized. Ashley and Serena. Ashley had pin straight platinum blonde hair and skin so tan it looked orange. Serena on the other hand had dark brown hair she’d curled and a far paler complexion, though she was still somewhat tanned.
“Ok so, three blueberry muffins pretty please!” She smiled and pulled out her card, “also I have a very tempting offer!”
Tweek furrowed his eyebrows at her as he rang in her order, “Really, tempting how?”
She tapped her card and Rebecca slid the pastries across the counter with her signature soft smile.
“Don’t you wanna get laid?” Bebe practically yelled.
Tweek choked on his own spit and Rebecca let out the loudest giggle he’d ever heard and collapsed under the counter in a fit of laughter.
“Bebe.” He hissed, “this is quite literally my first day of work you can’t say that!” He could feel his face heat up as the three girls in front of him laughed.
“Listen Tweeky, I was talking to your roomie-“
“You were talking to Kenny?”
“Yes! We have the same math class. Anyways, turns out he is about as bisexual as you can get. And I met this really awesome guy today and he said he has like tons of friends and anyways I was thinking three man!” She had a strong smile on her face and unwavering confidence.
In what world would Tweek ever set himself up for a blind three man, much less a date at all. Her confidence was astonishing.
“Absolutely not.” He shook his head.
“Oh come on!” She whined, sticking her bottom lip out, “This guy I met his name is Clyde he is super nice and-“
“Is he in a frat?”
“..yes. But look-“
“Bebeeee,” he groaned, “that means his friends are all frat guys. I told you I’d never date a frat guy.”
“They aren’t all frat guys! I’ll make sure he brings you a handsome non-frat man.”
“Still, I don’t like this whole three man thing.” He shook his head.
“Well…”she mumbled quietly.
“Well what?”
“I may or may not have,” she slowly said before quickly squeaking the next words out, “told him we were all totally down and it’s happening tonight, k bye love you!!!”
The girl spun around at the speed of light and practically ran out of the shop.
“Bebe Christina Stevens!” He yelled at her as she made her escape.
God. He couldn’t believe her. Actually, no. This was absolutely something Bebe would do but she had just never been able to before. He would have been more annoyed if he didn’t know for a fact he would have said yes eventually. Plus she had good intentions and he couldn’t fault her sweet, caring, and sometimes misplaced heart.
It looked like Tweek had a date that night. With a man he’d never met… great.
