Once upon a time, two sisters were playing in the old library that their caregiver owned. He told them to never open those books, they were too powerful and unstable. But the sisters don’t usually listen to their caregiver, so Tia, the older one, told her sister that they could read one book. Something that wasn’t powerful, something like a.. “Baking book!” Tia says as she found the old book. Luna looked at it and spoked her concern to her sister. “Tia, but Star-“ “It’s just an old baking book, we can bake some cookies. Just normal cookies.” She said with a warm smile. “I still don’t know…” Luna commented “We could bake your favorite! Blueberry!” “I’m in!”
The two opened the book to find the recipe for blueberry cookies until the pages glow and they cover the eyes with their hoofs. Before they could open their eyes, they weren’t in the old library anymore, they were in-
The writing on the scroll was smudged, Twilight couldn’t read it anymore. “Where were they?!” She asked as her assistant was holding some old and important scrolls and books from the castle of the two sisters. “Who was where?” Spike asked, Twilight groaned and answered. “I’m reading an old story about Princess Celestia and Luna’s first journey to somewhere different but there’s not a lot of information or evidence anymore.” “Maybe you should pay more attention to what we should keep or what we should give?” Spike said as he dropped off the last of the old scrolls and books. “Yeah, we should.” Twilight smiled as she looked at the old stuff and realized something was different, a colored but faded baking book. She looked inside of the book and it was filled with cookie recipes.
“I think Pinkie would appreciate this book. These baking recipes are unique!” Twilight said as she gave the book to Spike. “Yeah, she always wanted to have new ideas to bake! Like that flower and butter cake. Somehow she made it actually good!” Spike says as he grabs the book. Starlight walked in and looked around and asked. “Cleaning day?” Twilight shakes her head and says. “Nope, just reading some history! But I do need some help with this scroll, it’s completely smudged up!” “Really? This will be fun.” Starlight says as Spike ran out and yelled. “I’m going out to give this to Pinkie!” Spike paused to ask Starlight. “Oh hey Starlight, want something from the sugar-cube?” She put her hoof under her muzzle to think for a second and answered. “Maybe a slice of yam cake. It’s been a while.” “Alright! Bye!” Spike said as he ran.
Pinkie pie was waving to the Cakes, they were having a family vacation and she was in charge of the bakery for a whole 5 weeks. So she could explore new recipes and that is exciting. She heard a ring from the door and so she jumped from the counter to greet her friend. “Hi Spike! Are you here for the usual! Gem shards cupcake and Ube butter mochi?” She said with a grin. “Yep and also a slice of yam cake for Starlight!” Spike said before remembering the real reason why he’s here in the first place. “Oh yeah. Also I’m here to give you this old baking book.” “Ooo! Interesting!!! It would be so fun to make these delicious desserts! Like cookies made of cheese or cream extra vanilla!” She said as she opened the book and looked at the pages, they had a lot of art of different cookies.
She gave the bag of desserts to Spike and said, “These are on the house today! Tell Twilight and others, we could bake these tonight!” She told Spike as he took out the gem cupcake and he nodded as he walked out. Pinkie reads some of the recipes. “Interesting, some of these cookies looked weird.. Maybe ponies from ancient times were unique bakers!” Cuts to Spike walking back to the castle. He sees Applejack talking to Rarity and Fluttershy. “Thank you Applejack for these apples, my animals will love them!” Fluttershy said with a low but gentle tone. “They better! I've been working for 3 whole weeks.” AJ commented as Rarity said to her friend. “I’m happy that you’re finally taking a break. It’s dreadful for you, darling.” Aj sighs before waving to Spike. “Howdy Spike, how’s Twilight doing?” “Fine! And Pinkie was asking if anyone wants to join her to bake some cookies!” Spike asked as the others were intrigued. “Well, it’s my break.” Aj said and Rarity said. “And I have nothing to do either and Fluttershy and Dash also have nothing to do. So we’re absolutely going to join Pinkie.” Rarity said.
“Great. See you soon!” Spike said he continued walking back as they waved goodbye to him.
