Work Text:
Dr. Trinity Santos sight deep, letting her eyes glide over the Emergency Room. Adrenaline collaps after a car crash involving 6 people. A kid died. She swiffeled in her chair. Her juice box, which were given around the staff was empty. 3 hours in the shift to go. It was calm for a moment. She got up, opting for something a little more stronger.
Trinity pressed the swiffel door to staff lounge with verve open. And stopped dead in her tracks.
Facing her was Dr. Abbot.
But not just.
Dr. Robbys head was hidden in his neck, his back bowed and arms tightly around the other mans chest. Burying himself into him. Abbot gently talking in his ear, hands brushing up and down his back.
Her eyes widened and a shit eating grin formed on the edge of her lips. Abbots eyes darted to the intruder. "Well-" she cocked her head, "this is unexpected." "Get out!" He half mouthed, half verbalised. Robby hadnt moved.
Trinity raised her hands defendingly and turned mechanically on the spot, closing the door behind her.
She leaned against the door frame, still grinning. Before shaking herself and shaking her head. "And that girls is how you make 50 bucks." She whistled.
She would sneak coffee from Dennis.
She hadn't realised she starred at him. "Dr. Santos." She snapped back to reality. "Yeah. Tib Fib fracture. Oblique displaced. Surgery needed."
Dr. Robby eyed her carefully. "If you have something to say to me just do it." "Are you-" she started breaking off, seemingly realising she wont get a truthful answer.
He raised his eyebrows high. She wanted the earth to swollow her. "Are you alright?" She sight finally. The man just starred at her. For a while.
Trinity played with her stethoscope. "With the kid and all. Losing him." She added, trying to explain.
He shook himself. "Im alright. Just- needed a moment." "Sure." She said understandingly. "We all should- take a breather." He continued. She nodded biting back her grin. Unsuccessfully. "Mental health and so on." She nodded in the end, trying her hardest to stay serious.
"Dr. Robby in Central 5. Stat." The overhead speaker bringing its own argument. He shrugged, pulling forecfully his gloves off. "Saved by the bell." Santos deadpanned, Robby smiled crooked one more time and out the door he went.
She logged out of the computer system.
What a day this is shaping to become.
