I guess they were right

Summary:

Fictober Event Day 2
Promt: "I dont like to play games."

Notes:

Day 2 yay
I had some issues with this promt. Just so you know there's also a completed Angsty version of this. But I find there's too little fluff content in Rabbot fics. So here you go.

Love Trinity/Dennis banter.
I just do.

Have fun.

Work Text:

"You want to play games Mr. Huckleberry?" Santos put her tablet in the holder. "I bet you a 100 bucks that their doing it." He cocked his head. "I dont have that kind of money Trin, you know that." "Okay 10 bucks." "Fine alright. You're on." They shook hands.

"I dont like to play games." Mel added absently, not looking up from her charting. Both turned to her. Trinity eyed her so carefully you could mistake her for a lion. Mel looked up. Innocently. "Ohmygod. You know the answer." Trinity advanced, "Spit it out."

Her eyes widened like a deer in head lights. "I never said that." "But you do?" Mels mouth clapped shut before she could answer. Trinity howled. And Dennis groaned.

"Shes not a viable source." "What-" Santos snapped to him, "you want to go up to your attending -no two attendings- and asked them if their screwing?"

"Who's screwing?"

Both froze in horror.

Ever so slowly they turned.

A bright grinning Abbot leaned, every so cool against the counter. Not even trying to hide the joy of this. Mel tried to hide behind her screen.

"What is this?" Mortified they turned and found their other attending scooping disinfectant in his hands. "What did you do hypnotise them?"

Jack shook his head. "No. The pale ones have a bet pool," he faced Robby with puppy eyes, "if were hooking up." A shark like grin flushed over Robbys face. "Can I get in on that?" Jack punched him hard in the shoulder. Chuckeling he held his arm. "Fuck you." Abbot laught. They eyed the frozen interns. He pulled up his nose. "What do you recon?" Robby smiled slyly at the other attending.

"Well this has been fun. Jack." He pushed himself away from the counter. "But I still have an ED to run." He squeezed Abbots shoulder and went on to continued his stroll.

Abbot shook himself, the grin not leaving his smile. He reached between the two porcelain statues for a tablet.

"Close your mouth Santos. You just made ten bucks."
