Summary
To get the World Destroyer Artificial Intelligence running, Hajime had decided to launch his own conscience into the simulation. With some luck, he would be able to connect with Nagito's unconsciousness and begin to stimulate it to come back to the real world.
He hadn't expected to find two of him.
“Hm? Why? I know how you feel. We’re the same, after all. Back then, if I had had the chance to cling to someone in the middle of despair, I'd have done the same. It’s just a pity that you still fail to understand what was handed to you. Why would our luck favour you over me? I want the Absolute Hope to do me too, after all. Hahaha!” He broke into a hysterical laugh, drawing his mitten-covered hand to his head.
Hajime felt the world tilt violently as the system's warnings echoed around him. “You…” His voice died in his throat as he tried to imagine the face Nagito must have been making behind him.
The Servant's grip on his neck tightened. “How come he didn’t know?” He looked at his other self. “You found out about everyone’s identity as Remnants, didn’t you? So why not his? Haha, how worthless it must have made you feel!”
