Daciana, Kaz and Inej's daughter, had been out all day, and was now only coming back home.
After removing her shoes and putting her stuff in her room, she came back down in the living room. Her girlfriend had convinced her to talk to her parents about them being in a relationship, so she was a little nervous about that, even though she knew it would probably be okay. Her godfathers were gay and bi after all.
"Hi mom," she said, sitting down next to Inej on the couch.
"Hi darling, how was your day?" Inej answered, leaning down to kiss her daughter's cheek.
"It was so cool! Lily showed me this nice place in the park, and we stayed there for a while."
"That sounds lovely" answered Inej giving a soft look to her daugher that Daciana didn't see.
"Also...uh" started Daciana, before stopping abruptly.
"Yeah?" wondered Inej, shuffling closer.
"There is something I want to tell you"
"Alright. Well, you know you can tell me anything, right? Either way I'll still love you"
Daciana nodded, "yeah, I know. I guess. It's just stressful still"
"Take your time, then" smiled Inej.
"You see Lily? Well uh...she's not my friend. I mean, yes she is, but not only. She's also my girlfriend."
"Oh, darling" said Inej, wrapping her arms around her daughter and kissing her forehead. "That's so exciting!! And it doesn't change anything for me. You know, I used to have a little crush on Nina, a long long time ago."
They suddenly heard shuffling next to the doorway of the living room, so they turned around just in time to see Kaz speak up in an indignated tone "what did you just say?"
