Summary
He had known from the moment he saw Gojo, saw those bright cerulean eyes and saw his entire body littered in scars, that he could only truly be whatever Gojo needed him to be, and nothing more. Gojo needed someone who would hold him and patch him back together after breaking him, needed someone who would let him be playful and teasing after a lifetime of heartbreak and a seriousness no one should know by the age of eighteen.
Sure, it had been awhile since Gojo had escaped his circumstances by the time he found Geto, but some scars take longer to heal, and some never truly fade away. Geto knows that all too well, but he had been around longer and had room to carry some of the pain Gojo couldn’t carry himself.
So, Geto ties down the rigging, leaving Gojo hanging from the ceiling. The only part of him that touched the ground were his knees, and even then, it was more of a brush against the floor. Geto watches as Gojo melts into the ropes, the tension escaping from his shoulders and his neck as he settles into them.
Gojo no longer had to bear his own weight. Not when Geto was around.
