Summary
By the end of the first trial, it was clear that Hajime had lost all the trust of his classmates. He had asked and responded poorly so many times that they'd almost voted him the blackened. Through a stroke of luck, though, the real killer was identified, and Hajime was simply seen as the traitorous bystander in need of incapacitation and supervision.
