Chapter Text
Wyll had honestly been bored out of his mind. He and Mugm hadn’t been able to take any fights because the voidling was “traumatized” from Money SMP. Wyll was itching to fight someone though… He had been having horrible nightmares about people killing him and Mugm and he wasn’t going to lie they were starting to piss him off. Sure, they were just dreams, but that didn’t mean Wyll wasn’t “deeply” affected by them! Yeah he wasn’t, he just wanted a reason to fight people. You could say it's the Money bloodlust that was leftover.
So, he did the most reasonable thing and flew over to spawn, landing on the pedestal as he got there. That was when he spotted him: WhatMax, his first target. Wyll grinned and was about to pot up when he noticed what gem he was holding wealth. Sure, he had fought with wealth before but he wanted something that hurt a little more. He wanted to make the other Bliss members feel the pain he suffered in Money.
Since pink team had gotten LAST PLACE and Wyll didn’t take losses very well. The rest of the server better be ready cause Wyll was not about to just forget everything he had suffered.
He took out one of his many traders, he made lots of them recently, and spun. He really hoped to get something like flux, that would surely hurt like a bitch. As the trader did its thing, suddenly the ground started shaking and Wyll's first instinct was to splash turtle master. Ain’t no way he was dying in a trap. Whoever thought that was a good idea was a fucking cuck.
Then the shaking stopped and Wyll looked around and made eye contact with WhatMax, whose eyes were open wide and looking at Wyll with fear. Ha! That's exactly what Wyll wanted, he wanted to feel powerful again… Then, WhatMax’s mouth started mouthing something and he realized that maybe he wasn’t looking at Wyll like that, but at something else. Wyll turned around and he saw him; prophet was there lingering right behind Wyll, Mani was above Wyll as well and suddenly Wyll saw golden text start to form: Good luck
Then, the ground collapsed beneath him and Wyll fell down into the void. His heart and thoughts were racing a million miles per hour and all he could think was what? What in the world was happening? Why was the world disappearing above him? What was happe-

When Wyll woke up, the sky was grey. There was smoke and he could hear some sort of alarms ringing like crazy. Where was he? He sat up and quickly realized he was in some sort of… dumpster? As he crawled up he did a survey of the atmosphere to check if he was even in the same world and wait for it to process a bit… After the results came, yup he was definitely in some other server. He tried to check his communicator, but it seemed to have gone offline… What in the world had happened? One second he was at spawn, then falling , and now here? Was this like golden dream? He walked out of the alleyway he was in only to almost get run over by a car. Wait- what the fuck? Normal worlds often didn’t have cars. You couldn’t get those unless your world was special or more modern like.
Wyll continued to walk through the city and that's when he saw it, a billboard that said Welcome to Gotham, but Gotham was crossed off and graffiti spelled out HELL instead. This place was definitely weird, that was for sure. As Wyll finally walked into a crowded area he realized something immediately. He stood out like a sore thumb.
Wyll carried himself with a grace unfit for Lady Gotham. She had dark, gloomy and dirty streets, Wyll was clean, well-dressed, and well, happy. Clearly, he wasn’t meant to be here, at least in whatever in this part was. Wyll swore that for a second he could hear faint gunshots.
“Man, I’m so fucking lost!” Wyll exclaimed to no one, and he got a few weird looks by passerbys. “This shit sucks,” he muttered quietly. He was going to wander endlessly on these streets if he didn’t get a map or some instructions. Though, even if he did have that, where exactly would he go? He didn’t know how this world worked, hell he didn’t even know what it was called. Hopefully they spoke English and not some weird language. What if they were like the alters and didn’t communicate? Wait- did he have a task to complete to get out of here?
Back when he and Mugm had to go through Golden Dream, in order to get home, they had to kill all 20 alters, but here he had not been given a book, had he? Wyll opened up his ender chest and inventory and yeah, no book in sight. Though he was lucky enough to still have his enderchest. He needed to check if he still had all his stuff in it though, last time it had been cleared… Wyll sat down on a bench and placed his ender chest down, opening it to find that it was still full of his old resources! That was a good sign.
Some lady down the street was staring at him weirdly, but Wyll shrugged it off and just continued walking to mani knows where. Soon enough, Wyll found himself in front of a grocery store and he went inside, he needed food and he didn’t want to waste his golden carrots just in case. He picked up a few apples and started to walk out when the alarms went off. He forgot that paying was a thing in some servers. He went to the cashier area and formed a line. He understood the concept of money, having been in Money SMP and all, but all the servers he’d ever been in mostly used face to face trading, so hopefully it was like that here as well. As he put the apples down, the cashier gave him a tired look and asked, “Cash or card?:” Well, fuck he didn’t have any of that. “Um… I don’t have any of those things.” Wyll said and the cashier sighed, “just fucking take it, I’m not dealing with this today.” So, he shrugged and walked away. Phew, that was good! Thank the gods that luck was on his side today!
Thankfully, that awkward ass conversation wasn’t in vain! Wyll had come to a new conclusion, he needed a job. He was broke and unemployed and by his knowledge of modern servers, you need a job to make some cash! If he used wealth gem, would he get paid more or did it not work like that? Surely, the hero of the village effect could allow for him to be seen in a better light by others, therefore getting paid more! Regardless, his job hunt needed to start ASAP. How does one even get hired? Now that was a topic he was less familiar with. OH WELL! He couldn’t be sitting around being a chud forever!
Wyll ate his apples as he walked down the Gotham streets looking for any advertisement of someplace hiring. He had finally made his way into the city when he saw it, a skyscraper towering over the ground, the words Wayne Industries at the tippity top. Surely that was a good workplace. If only they were hiring… well it never hurt to ask!. Wyll walked up to the building and was immediately met by the scent of wealth. (That wasn’t actually a thing) In reality, there were only two guards standing there with mean looking faces and Wyll quickly realized that maybe going in there wasn’t the best idea… Instead, he did a u turn and walked the other way. He had too many issues to be adding a new one to the list! Plus, the sun was setting and Wyll had no where to stay, his job hunt would have to continue another time… Hopefully, he would have more luck by then!

Bruce POV:
Bruce had a love-hate relationship with a lot of things, but he did not want to have one with his kids. Unfortunately for him, it was difficult to raise a bunch of hormonal teens who also happened to be vigilantes. Least to say, it wasn’t going very well for him. They had just gotten back from patrol and Bruce was fuming. He really didn’t want to yell at Damian again, he knew that the kid was still getting used to being a part of the family, but he was starting to get on his last nerve.
“I told you to wait for orders.” Bruce stated, taking off his mask. Damian huffed and looked away, “Well father, if I didn’t act then he would’ve gotten away!”
Bruce sighed and held his breath. In his head, he was counting and telling himself that he had to control his anger. He couldn’t allow himself to crack right now.
“You could’ve died Damian, plain and simple as that. You are reckless and one of these days that is going to get you killed.”
Damian rolled his eyes, “You always say that father, but in case you forgot, I can fend for myself, I’m not some stupid kid-”
“You are a kid Damian theres no arguing me on that, and in case you forgot, I’m your father so what I say goes.” Bruce raised his voice at the end of that one and immediately mentally cringed at himself, he was a good dad, every once in a while a good dad yells at their kids, it wasn’t meant to be condescending or rude, he was still good, right? Obviously, Damian didn’t think so at the moment, because the kid started visibly get frustrated at Bruce.
“You are so annoying. I hate it when you treat me as if I am defenseless when I could’ve killed those guys if I wanted to.” Damian said, his words slurring with each other. Bruce couldn’t help but look away at the mention of killing them. He hated it whenever his kids said stuff like that, especially when it was Damian or Jason, it just made him so… mad.
“I won’t entertain this conversation anymore Damian.” Bruce stated, “Go to your room your , also you’re temporarily suspended from going out on patrol until I allow you to again.” Damian scoffed and stomped out of the room completely silent, but loudly fuming. Bruce turned around and went to the bat-computer, his mind racing at a million miles an hour. That might’ve been a low stoop but he needed to make sure Damian understood that he needed to listen to him for this to work. He needed a way to make sure that something like this wouldn’t happen again. The only question was how?
Sure, he banned Damian from going out on patrol, but nothing was actually stopping him. Knowing him, the moment Bruce wasn’t looking he would go out on his own, and that was arguably a worse outcome. Something was wrong with him, he needed a solution badly. It was only a matter of time before Damian disobeyed him and he wasn’t going to let it get to that. Normally, he’d call it quits here, but Bruce had a JL space mission in a few days, and if he didn’t come up with a plan soon then Damian was definitely going to disobey him the moment he left.
Bruce sighed and decided to do the only thing he realistically could, he made a poster looking for a babysitter and printed out 1000 copies to put around Gotham, someone would want to babysit, right? He really hoped this plan would work. He was disappointed with himself because this would seem so petty to Damian, but with short notice it was really his only way as of now. There was no way someone would pass up his babysitting offer. Bruce had very high hopes for this plan. Now all he had to do was just wait for someone to call.
He sighed and made his way back up to the manor. His work was done for the day. He could finally rest and just hope that tomorrow would bring him better luck with life. If only, ha, life could never be that easy. Bruce walked up Damian’s door creaking it open slightly, the boy was under his covers, awake, but at least in how pjs. “Goodnight Damian.” Bruce whispered and walked away. He was doing this to protect Damian, and he just hoped that when he broke the news to him that he would understand.
