Grox sat in his grand throne. The red carpet stretching out to the door.
He sat there, bored. Hella bored, actually. The tyrant sighed while he fiddled with his gloves.
The palace had been awfully quiet. Nothing that caught his attention. Not a single villager visited him for absolute bullshit. No random thing that broke out in the whole kingdom.
...Not even his favorite villager, Froggy, visited.
Ah, he should just go to his room or something. He's bored and has nothing better to do. He should just call quits and take a nap or something.
Yeah, that should be—
"Lord Grox. A guest has arrived to meet you." A guard stated. He bowed to the king then looked up at him for an answer.
"Who is this supposed guest, hm?" Grox asked as he glanced at the guard with empty eyes.
"Froggydude, Lord Grox." The guard called a name. "Should I let him—"
The guard was cut off by Grox's sharp voice.
"Bring him in. And you may leave us alone." Grox's posture was visibly different. His aura screamed authority, seriousness, and focus. It was rare to see the king like this on a normal day. It sent shivers down the guard's spine.
"Y-Yes, Lord Grox. I shall bring him in." He turned around to exit and came back with Froggydude, eyes glued to the ground.
"You may leave now." He ordered at the guard who immediately scrambled off and left them alone.
After he was sure they were alone, he stepped off his throne and approached the taller man.
"Well, look who it is. My favorite villager. What brings you here, frogman?" Grox slyly smirked as he lifted the other's chin to meet his gaze.
"I guess... I just wanted to see you, Grox." Froggy mumbled and quickly tried to look away, but was forced to look at the wither hybrid.
"Just that? Nothing else? I thought you wanted to meet me for something." He scoffed and gripped Froggy's chin tighter, making sure he can't look away.
"...I missed you. Sorry I hadn't visited you. I had to take care of Baby Villager. He got sick." He wrapped his arms around the shorter man's body, burying his face into the crook of his neck.
"Ayo chill, frogman! What's gotten into you? You never just suddenly hug me like this." Grox scolded, but he didn't pull away. "You're being extra clingy today."
Froggy hugged Grox tighter, which earned a surprised whimper from the wither hybrid.
Grox realized that Froggy was... Warm. Warmer than usual. Isn't Froggy a cold-blooded animal...?
He heard a small sniffle right beside his ear. Barely there, but he caught it. His eyes filled with concern.
"Ayo, Froggy? You good?" He gripped Froggy's shoulders and made him look at Grox.
His eyes were red, tears building up. His face.. Oh, God, why is he cute when he's crying? Grox shook that thought away and wiped Froggy's eyes.
"I missed you so much.." Was all he heard before he was being carried to the throne. Froggy wrapped his arms around Grox from the side as he nuzzled his face into the tyrant's chest.
Wow, this guy is real clingy today.
"Froggy. You good? You're warmer than usual." Grox's voice was laced with concern. He assumed he knows the answer.
"No... After BV got healthy, I got sick.." Froggy's voice was muffled as he clung to Grox tighter. Ah, that explains why he's way more clingy and emotional than before.
Grox started fiddling with Froggy's hair to comfort him. Grox has an idea to get Froggy to calm down.
Well, according to science, you can calm them down. As when being in close proximity or hugging someone, your breathing and heartbeats subconsciously synchronize.
Grox's heartbeat matched Froggy's first. But every second, Grox would slow down his heartbeat and breathing just a bit. Until eventually they were at a calm pace.
Surprisingly, it worked. Froggy had calmed down, but he was still clingy.
"We should get to bed. You're very obviously tired." Grox whispered into Froggy's ear, twirling a strand of his hair around his fingers.
"Mm.. Fine.." Froggy groggily got up and carried Grox to the bed chambers. The door to his bedroom gently creaked open, Froggy grumbling a few incoherent stuff.
He shut the door behind him and walked to Grox's bed. The silk sheets cushioned Grox's body as he was carefully dropped onto bed.
Froggy crawled over the wither hybrid and wrapped his limbs around him, seeking for his natural body warmth. As Grox was a hybrid of a species from the Nether, he produced more body heat.
And frogs are cold-blooded animals. They seek warmth.
Froggy nuzzled his face into the crook of Grox's neck, inhaling his comforting natural scent. His hand slipped under Grox's suit, causing for the man beneath him to shiver.
Froggy looked up to meet Grox's gaze, and kissed him on the lips. Grox's startled gasp was muffled by his lips. It's cute when Grox does that.
Froggy's tongue licked Grox's lips, asking permission to enter. Grox, of course, happily obliged.
The long muscle invaded Grox's mouth. Moving to the teeth, inspecting each one of it. God, the taste of Grox's mouth was intoxicating.
Their tongues danced in a perfect symphony, but unfortunately, Froggy had to let go. He didn't want to, but he decided to spare Grox so he could breathe.
Grox still felt the phantom touch of Froggy's lips against his. He was breathing quite heavily, cheeks flushed, pupils dilated.
They stayed cuddled for a bit longer, until eventually Froggy fell asleep comfortably in Grox's arms.
Froggy's subconscious croaking was lulling Grox to sleep. It was like a cat's purr. Soft, quiet, and calming. And as the time passed, Grox found himself being pulled into a peaceful slumber with his Froggy by his side.
