   Summary

   Atsumu Miya had three life goals - be the best volleyball player ever, be happier than his brother, and continue to be the public's controversial darling. It all goes to shit when a man films him outside a club kissing a stranger, which is definitely not unusual for him, except for the fact that he was kissing a man. In an attempt to reclaim the narrative and push back against the biphobia and homophobia on the internet, he gets into a relationship with his best friend, Sakusa Kiyoomi. The only catch is that their relationship is fake. As they try to convince the world that they are in love, and hopefully get the press off of Atsumu's back, they get closer than ever, until they can't tell where the mask ends and their true relationship begins.

   Or: the struggle of being queer and having a complicated relationship with being in the public eye (and a boatload of unresolved anxiety issues)
