Work Text:
Dust swirled as Thalassa pushed open the door. Dark emptiness greeted her in what used to be home. It felt like years and mere minutes since she had last been here, at this threshold. The passing of the seasons, however, meant that it had been a year.
A year since Gale had passed and left her. Alone.
She drifted through the halls, echoes of laughter and tender moments trailing behind her.
She paused at the library doors. Memories danced haltingly through her mind, haunting her with the life they used to share. These ghosts are all she has left.
