It's over. Astarion won. The hundredth year anniversary of his ascension was rapidly approaching and life had turned out better than Astarion could have ever dreamed of. A devoted wife, a beautiful son, and all the political power in Baldur's Gate he could hold in his sunkissed hands. Astarion was at peace after centuries of torment.
But in the shadow of the Vampire Ascendant lurked a figure from his past, the man who wore his face and shared his name. A shadow that could not bear the light and would forever pollute his mind. His peace was shattered by a mysterious letter, addressed to him by name.
To the Lord of the Crimson Palace, Astarion Ancunín,
Before you toss this letter into the bin or fireplace — I know where your brother is. If you don’t address this letter, I can assure you that you will never see him again.The forces hunting us are of a far greater magnitude than what is comprehensible to the physical mind. Summary
Along the Costal Margin is a series of one shots that take place in my Modern Canon Divergence AU, Moth's Wings. They are not canon to Moth's Wings and are simply experimental works that take just so happen to take place in the Moth's Wings Universe.
The major information that a reader needs to know is that Moth's Wings takes place in Baldur's Gate, 521 years after the events of the game, in 2013. Astarion and Tavarti (a Mephistopheles Tiefling, "Tav") were the only companions to experience the events of the game. All other companions (and some NPCs) live in 2013 Baldur's Gate and did not experience the events of the game.

Summary
It’s been 10 years since Astarion and his companions have saved themselves and Baldur’s Gate from many great perils. The pale elf has killed his master and has resisted the temptation to ascend, but now finds himself all alone in the ruins of a life that used to be his in Baldur’s Gate, long before Cazador and the mindflayers. He is now a very famous tailor, spending most of his nights sewing elegant corsets and petticoats for nobles from all over Faerûn, but feels like his life is a series dull and colorless moments. His love for Tav has withered and died, like everything he touches, and his old friends are busy living their own lives. Consumed by solitude and struggling to find a purpose to his immortal existence, Astarion crosses path with a young painter named Selene. She has lost her artistry, he has lost his reflection. Could they find in each other what they have been looking for all along?
