    Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys thought they would make their daughter queen and their grandsons king. But you see, the rule of the world was as follows:

    The realm was not only unprepared to be ruled by a woman, but it was also unprepared to be ruled by a sagacious one. They should have known better than to underestimate Rhaenyra Targaryen.
