    A doe bounds across Tracy’s path after the sound of something splashing into the lake echoes in the distance. Strange, it’s too cold for swimming. He makes his way through the brush towards the shore of the lake.

    Something feels wrong.

    He can’t pick out anything strange outside of some rippling in the water as he gets closer. Then he sees it, Roy’s shoes and socks abandoned on the shore nearly in the water, a bottle of whiskey half empty next to them. Roy doesn’t like to swim. His breath is caught in his throat. Fuck.

    Roy thinks the best way to escape is to escape life itself. Tracy finds him in the act.
