Summary
Graduation was meant to be the turning point. A new city, a new beginning, a chance to finally leave the pain of his old life behind. So, when things didn’t change, Jamal returned to his hometown but remained invisible and still too different to ever truly blend in.
That was when the murders began. Each victim, someone who had hurt him, had laughed at him or put their hands on him when they really shouldn’t have.
It felt like fate. It felt like he had someone, a killer, watching over him and when Jamal finally meets the man responsible, the man who has become his saviour, it isn’t fear that he feels.
Instead, it’s the feeling of being chosen.
