Summary
Bruce is sick and his children aren't sure why. Duke, still fairly new to the home, suggests it could be heat sickness--but everyone knows Bruce is an alpha, so that couldn't be it! Turns out he is, but this isn't heat sickness, it's pack rejection. Cue anxious bat bonding.
AKA: Post Alfred's death, the batfamily tension has been on the rise as no one has claimed the role of pack alpha. Everyone expected Bruce to take it on, but he hasn't and he wears so many scent blockers they couldn't tell if he did anyway. When Bruce is injured during a mission and then several of his children make particularly harsh comment towards him, Bruce goes into a state of pack rejection. The Batclan must sort out the pack status and help Bruce to stabilize before the rejection becomes deadly.
