Work Text:
Doctor: Nardole, have you seen my sunglasses?
Nardole: Do I look like your mother?
Doctor: (Piercing stare) Not particularly; she had more hair and a better temperament.
Nardole: They’re in your bedroom, on the chair, under the faux window.
Doctor: I don’t have a bedroom.
Nardole: Yes, you do. Down the stairs from the observatory, behind the big black door with the ‘No Trespassers’ sign. I’ve been in it.
Doctor: (Sarcastic) Oooh! I see. Ignore the sign. Barge on in. Go right ahead! Whatever happened to privacy?
Nardole: How else do you think your socks get washed?
(Beat)
Doctor: My socks get washed? I thought they smelled a little off.
