Summary
For as long as he can remember, Izuku Midoriya has been warned to stay away from the surface.
As the second prince of an underwater kingdom, he knows the stories. A war fought long before his birth. A broken alliance between humans and merfolk. A world above the waves that his people have spent the last century trying to forget.
But Izuku has never been particularly good at leaving things alone.
And when his curiosity leads him to a pirate ship and its sharp-eyed, foul-mouthed captain, he finds himself drawn into a world far more complicated than the one described in his books.
Katsuki Bakugou, meanwhile, has spent years searching for someone the sea took from him.
The last thing he needs is a green-haired stranger with too many questions, too many secrets, and an unsettling habit of turning up exactly where he shouldn't.
Especially when some secrets are better left beneath the waves.
