Work Text:
Time moves forward, but I walk behind, Chasing the pieces I’ve left behind. A thousand tomorrows, a thousand goodbyes, A lifetime of memories I can’t recognize.
I’ve lived through the endings, forgotten beginnings, Watched kingdoms crumble while time kept on spinning. And if I could turn back the hands of the clock, Would I find what I lost, or undo what I’ve got?
For every new life, there’s a death to rehearse, A blessing, a burden, a beautiful curse. And the cruelest reversal, the twist of fate’s knife— Is remembering the end, but forgetting the life.
