The waistband of his trousers struggles to stay in place, the heft of his remaining gold weighing him down physically, though nothing could weigh his spirit down. He walks down the hill towards home, taking in the glittering lights and the smell of smokepowder off the water. His cheeks ache from smiling all day. He thinks this must be the best day of his life.
